Kobe Bryant just can't catch a break.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, who injured his right shoulder in the second half of last night's game against the Pelicans in New Orleans, had an MRI exam today in San Antonio. Preliminary results from the MRI show a tear of the rotator cuff.
Let's break down how it happened. Kobe crossed his man up and went in for a two handed dunk, because he's awesome. He tore his rotator cuff on the dunk, because he's 36. He came back in the game and hit a ridiculous turnaround, fading floater / jumper with one arm, because he's Kobe Freaking Bryant.
This is the same guy who insisted on shooting1 two free throws after tearing his Achilles tendon, so this shouldn't surprise me.
